Subversion: Useful commit hooks
Just a thought on things to look out for in a subversion pre-commit hook.
- Relevant commit comment. How you characterise "relevant" is another matter. But at least kong enough to make it as much hassle to make rubbish to put in the comment as it is to make a sensible one!
- Reject files with "<<<<<<" and ">>>>>>" in. Committing code with resolution markers in is something we've all done, and it ought to be caught. A more complicated regex than a straight comparison will prevent too many "false positives"!
